Bull Development

Our bull development pens are located in an old, abandoned rock quarry. This environment shapes our bulls into rugged, athletic and sure footed breeders as they navigate the rough, uneven ground and rocky limestone ledges. Bone structure and hard feet are absolute necessities to make it in such a tough environment. Additionally, whenever possible, we are grazing the fall bulls on Flint Hills range and later on warm season cover crops. This is a much slower growth development process than other breeders may use, and as a result, you will notice that our weights might be lower than other bulls that have been pushed at a feed bunk. However, we feel it pays dividends in the long run for our customers because it allows these bulls to develop at a slower pace which increases bone density and strength -- resulting in a bull built for breeding season after season.
